It has been a very busy shooting season on the outdoor pistol range. We are slowly making improvements out there. Our goal this year was to concrete the gravel area of the outdoor pistol range. To that end we have removed a section of fence and three trees where the driveway turns in to the lower parking lot. Besides making the turn easier, we are hoping that a cement truck will be able to enter the lower lot to facilitate the cement work. The photo below is what the turn area looks like right now.
SIGHT IN DAYS will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, November 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24. The hours will be 9 AM to 4 PM (rain or snow). The cost is 3.00 per gun. We will have ear plugs available for 50 cents a pair. We will also have loaner safety glasses available. Bore sighting will be done at no cost, as in the past. Members and non-members are all welcome.
HOW TO DO IT. ↓
You must first come into the clubhouse, register & pay, and have your gun inspected before going down to the range to shoot. DO NOT BRING ANY LOADED WEAPONS INTO THE CLUBHOUSE. It is your responsibility to make sure that your weapons are unloaded before you transport them.
As usual, we will be looking for volunteers to help in the clubhouse (signing shooters in, inspecting guns, bore sighting, etc.). Any questions about this, call treasurer Tom Zawistoski at 814 323 1762. If necessary, leave a message. Calls without messages will not be returned.
